Future’s reputation as a father continues to take damage. This time from a damning report from ex-Brittni, who has custody of their recently-turned-8-year-old son, Prince Wilburn.
Future’s perceived shortcomings as a parent were also highlighted by his eldest son, Jakobi, who reposted an Instagram story from Braylon Howard, son of NBA All-Star Dwight Howard. The younger Howard wrote, “My Dad ain’t a real dad. He don’t even talk to me and he know I’m sad and need him. I’m almost 13 so I can talk now.”
For those keeping score, Future has fathered at least eight children across liaisons with Ciara, Eliza Reign, Joie Chavis, Jessica Smith and others. Multiple child support claims and paternity suits later, the 36-year-old Mask Off rapper has demonstrated a questionable philosophy toward parenting and the concept of family in general.
Some might recall the entrenched criticism Future lobbed at Seattle Seahawks Quarterback Russell Wilson. Wilson, NFL MVP and Super Bowl Champion appeared to relish the opportunity to groom and care for Lil’ Future, showing up in many of Ciara’s Instagram posts as a gleeful and dutiful stepfather. Wilson once wrote on Instagram, “Watching him grow over the past year and a half has been the most fulfilling and special things I’ve ever been around.”
Future took umbrage, stating in an interview on The Breakfast Club, “Of course I wouldn’t want anyone to push my son. That’s like the number one rule. If I was a kid, and my mom had a dude pushing me, I would’ve jumped out the stroller and slapped the sh*t out of him.” He also proclaimed that Russell “needed to be a man” and “He do exactly what she tell him to do. He not being a man in that position. He not tellin’ her, ‘Chill out with that on the Internet. Don’t even talk to him. I’m your husband! You better not even bring Future’s name up.'”
Earlier this year Russell also wished the younger Future a Happy Birthday in an Instagram post featuring the two swimming underwater. He captioned the post with,“You are my daily inspiration. My best friend…Full of Love, Joy, and Grace. I thank Jesus everyday for who you are & being able to lead & guide you. Your future is forever endless and I pray you swim into every opportunity and obstacle in life with this much Love and Enthusiasm. Happy 6th Birthday Future! Daddy loves you! @ciara.”

Now, during his son Prince Wilburn’s 8th birthday celebration, which appeared to be quite the extravaganza, with an Iron Man cosplayer on hand to ring in the occasion, Brittni claims that Future said the words, “F— him” to his son, bringing the party to a crushing halt. Some of the party and ensuing fiasco was captured in series of IG stories and have been circulating over the days since.
In the aftermath Brittni, a business owner and entrepreneur in her own right, voiced her obvious and justifiable dissatisfaction at the night’s conclusion. In an Instagram story she blasted the rapper for his action and told “don’t come back begging.”
