Tiffany Haddish and Nicki Minaj aren’t two names that tend to share the same headlines. Besides being two black female entertainers they don’t have much else in common. They’ve also been at odds before in the past. So when a recent Clubhouse moderator referred to Haddish as The Nicki Minaj of Comedy, its safe to say the compliment didn’t connect well with the “Girls Trip” Star.

Its unclear when the clip is from. In it, someone complimented Haddish by comparing her level of success in comedy to Nicki’s in Hip-Hop. One person quickly fired back, “unlike Nicki she shows up on time.”
Haddish added “And unlike Nicki I treat everyone with respect and dignity.”
It wasn’t long before Minaj fans caught wind of the dig and started to come for Haddish.
Several took to twitter to air her out claiming she’s only funny when a script is present. Another person chimed in and said “She isn’t funny with the script either.”

Some didn’t understand why Haddish was compared to Minaj in the first place. “Comparing Tiffany Haddish to Nicki Minaj is the weirdest thing to me…at least Nicki’s good at what she does.”

One pointed out that Nicki is actually funnier than Haddish. “If we being completely honest I’ve laughed harder at Nicki bars than anything Tiffany ever said. Nicki Minaj funny af. You understand me?”

Haddish is fresh off her first Grammy win. She took home the award for Best Comedy Album at this year’s ceremony. An honor that has not been bestow on a black woman since Whoppi Goldberg won the same award in the 80s. The win is particularly ironic as the award show has famously snubbed Nicki Minaj over the years. Its safe to say Barbs probably have it out for the Grammys today as well.
